And so another year draws to a close. From my viewpoint it looked like a good one for Open Source development. I got to know the fantastic Joomla content management system, I attended some great conferences and introduced Linux to a number of new customers. From everything I heard, saw and read it looks very obvious that open source in general and Linux in particular is growing in importances and acceptance by the day. I think 2007 could be a very pivotal year as we are nearing the critical 'tipping point' for general acceptance of Linux as a viable desktop solution in the business environment. So I am very much looking forward to 2007 and all the great new developments it will bring. I am starting off the year by taking an accredited 'Linux power user' course to get some more technical background into the Linux operating system and I have a couple of great new Joomla implementations and PHP development projects in the pipeline. I therefor am very confident that I will be bringing you and even more upbeat end-of-year message during the closing weeks of 2007.
